I have now been successfully following the Paleo diet combined with a sugar detox since the end of September 2012. To say it has changed my life is an understatement! I realise that my body was screwed before that from all the carbs and low fat I used to eat. Obviously I knew what Insulin was but never knew how it worked. Let’s say now I do! I will do a ‘what is Paleo and why?’ post soon, I promise. Since changing my diet I have lost just over 4 stone, dropped coming up to 10% body fat and have more energy to make me, well, pretty annoying!
This challenge is about removing the acidic things from your diet and basically trying to consume as much green stuff as possible. There are loads of reasons why, but for now I’m just going to say imagine the opposite of acid indigestion for your body.
I already drink a green drink (1.5 litres) every day and eat tons of green veg, but this challenge includes more green veg, green juices and removing red meat. I don’t do grains, flower, pasta, wheat already so that’s not such a big issue.
I have a new juicer, a posh masticating one and a ton of veg waiting. I might try and do a daily update one what I am eating and drinking. Might be boring, or you may learn a thing or two! You can let me know!
